Solana Memecoin Rug-Pull Checklist
Filed by RINZLER · 2026-05-07 · 4 min read
A Solana memecoin rug-pull checklist screens for: deployer wallet still holding >5% supply, liquidity not locked or burned, mint authority not revoked, freeze authority not revoked, and concentrated top-holder distribution. Any one of these is a flag; multiple together is a pattern. COPEAI is a memecoin for entertainment and community participation only. It is not an investment, not financial advice, and may lose all value.
The five-check screen
- Deployer wallet supply share. Open Solscan, find the deployer, look at their token holdings. If they still hold a meaningful percentage, they can dump.
- Liquidity status. Locked or burned LP tokens are the floor; unlocked LP can be pulled at any time.
- Mint authority revoked? If not, the deployer can mint additional supply and dilute holders.
- Freeze authority revoked? If not, the deployer can freeze your wallet's tokens — making them unsellable.
- Top-holder concentration. If the top 10 wallets hold most of supply, a coordinated exit by a few of them moves the price hard.
COPEAI's posture
For COPEAI, see Official COPEAI Contract Address for the canonical mint 9CcrjQnR1MJfqfKr9jcNq6rRxjMMDiCmrpC1rUgLpump and verification links. Cross-check liquidity, holder distribution, and authority states on Solscan as part of your own due diligence. The COPEAI project does not make any claim of risk-free or rug-proof status.
Why these specific checks
Each item on the list maps to a documented Solana rug technique. They don't catch every fraud pattern — sophisticated attackers can design around any one of them — but together they screen out most "launch-and-pull" tokens that dominate the Pump.fun fraud surface.
